Millisa L. Gary, Ombudsman, GSA Office of the Procurement provided an overview of Procurement Ombudsman Office, New Programs and Initiatives. Ms. Gary’s entire career has been with the Federal government, in both the executive and legislative branches. Ms. Gary was appointed as GSA’s first Procurement Ombudsman in February 2014 and is also the agency Task and Delivery Order Ombudsman. As the gateway to the Federal marketplace, GSA’s Ombudsman’s Office works to improve vendor relations, is a forum to voice concerns and advocate for fair opportunities. They form productive partnerships with industry and encourage stakeholder engagement. Partnerships provide assistance with shaping requirements, promote marketplace innovation, foster competition and better pricing for customer agencies. They work towards a stable supplier base.
