On Thursday, January 20, 2022, MCCC hosted Montgomery County Office of Procurement Director Ash Shetty and Division Chief Grace Denno. They led a presentation on how to do business with Montgomery County Government. 

The presentation covered:

• An overview of the Office of Procurement
• Procurement operations and compliance
• Formal and informal solicitations
• Contract compliance programs, including Minority, Female, and Disabled Persons (MFD) Owned Business Program, the Local Small Business Reserve Program (LSBRP) - a program MCCC advocated for at the County Council - and other programs
• Outreach and accessibility
• How to navigate the Office of Procurement website and other resources
• CVID-19 pandemic response and recovery
• Challenges and opportunities

The presentation was followed by a Q&A segment with participants who had general and specific questions regarding contracting with the Montgomery County, Maryland Government.
