It was a beautiful fall day at Lakewood Country Club in Rockville, Maryland. Golfers were greeted with over a thousand American flags (sponsored by MOJO Web Solutions), lining the entrance of the country club, as they checked in for the Annual MCCCF VIP Golf Tournament. Golfers picked up their travel golf bag, sponsored by American Commercial Group, and enjoyed refreshments at our Welcome Beverage Bar, sponsored by King Street Technologies. The event started with a beautiful rendition of the national anthem, sung by Mark Fletcher, the Division Chief of White House Television, before over 400 golf balls were dropped from a helicopter onto the driving range for our 50/50 raffle (sponsored by HUB International). VIP GRAD Company KB Squared Technologies had the winning ball - with a prize of over $20,000!
By the afternoon, our 100 golfers were on the course. Tournament elements included a Cigar Rolling Station (sponsored by Interactive Government Holdings), a Bourbon Tasting Station (sponsored by CohnReznick), a chance to win a car if you hit a hole-in-one (sponsored by Fitzgerald Auto Mall), and a 'Beat the Pro' challenge (sponsored by E-INFOSOL). After 18 holes, the foursomes headed to the clubhouse for a reception, where VIP alumni, instructors, and supporters spent the evening networking and reconnecting.
This year's tournament wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors and donors. We would like to give a special thanks to our Founding Circle Sponsor, Lockheed Martin Corporation, and our Signature Sponsor, EP&H Technologies.
Lockheed Martin has been a supporter of the VIP Golf Tournament since the very first tournament 15 years ago. We are so thankful for their support. This is EP&H's second year paying it forward as Signature Sponsor. EP&H Technologies has graduated from VIP GROW, INTERNATIONAL, and AEROSPACE.
The event was a great success. Thank you to all that participated so that we can continue to Arm Vets to WIN!
