As Director of Events, Membership, and Sales, Lisa Wilson is responsible for the Chamber’s event planning and execution as well as the management of the Chamber’s annual membership strategies and initiatives for sales and retention efforts.
Lisa brings over 25 years of experience in customer service delivery and relationship management working in the hospitality sector for customers spanning the corporate, non-profit, education, and quasi-government industries. A native of Washington, D.C., Lisa began her launch into the world of culinary arts through her attendance at the Baltimore International Culinary College in Baltimore, Maryland graduating with an Academic Associates Degree in Professional Cooking. Lisa then began her work with the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Pentagon City, Virginia where she worked as a Cook III, II, I, and Culinary Team Coordinator. On her quest to do “bigger things” she transitioned her employment to the Hotel Lombardy in Washington, DC as the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director. In 1997 Lisa began working with Aramark Services, Inc., where she worked for ten years in progressive management roles opening, operating, and closing (if needed) residential conference centers and hotel properties managed by Aramark Harrison Lodging. In her career with Aramark, Lisa held the positions of Director of Conference Services, Director of Operations, Interim General Manager, and General Manager for eight accounts across six different states. At a phase in her life where she felt she had something to share with up-and-coming culinary and hospitality students, Lisa accepted a position as Director of Career Services at the then California Culinary Academy (rebranded as Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts/San Francisco); where she also served as the Campus Director for one year. After nine years with Le Cordon Bleu, Lisa returned to Maryland where she began working for Benchmark Hospitality in the role of Director of Conference Services at Lockheed Martin’s Center for Leadership Excellence. Lisa possesses an AA in Professional Cooking from Baltimore International Culinary College, a BS in Management from the University of Phoenix, and an MBA with a specialization in Operations Management from American Intercontinental University. Lisa holds certifications and licenses in Property, Casualty, and Life Insurance. Lisa is a Notary Public in the State of Maryland. |
