Alexandria joined the Chamber in January 2010. As the Executive Administrator for the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, Alexandria is responsible for a wide range of duties and prioritization. She provides executive level support to the President and CEO, overall office & IT operations, and works closely with the entire team. Her job requires a high degree of accuracy, judgment, initiative, pro-activeness, discretion and protocol.
She is responsible for the administration of the Board of Directors, Foundation, and Advisory Boards, as well as, the Joint Executive & Finance Committee. She coordinates and prepares resolutions for formal board action, various correspondences, assists in arranging for guest speakers, and maintains accurate and up-to-date Board(s) roster and website page.
She works with staff members in the areas of economic development, business development, public policy, government contracting, infrastructure & land use, and programs & events. She interacts with prospective members, elected officials on every level and Chamber members about upcoming meetings and events. Provides effective communication with team members and suggests improvements to standardized best practices and overall improvement and efficiency.
Alexandria has over 25 years of experience with an extensive background. She has worked in commercial real estate with Amalgamated Bank, construction management with Clark Construction, as an Independent Contractor, and as a prime federal government contractor (HHS) for over 12 years, conducted several major ERP implementations with KPMG & BearingPoint. She worked on projects from the RFP/proposal stage, award, and working with great teams to see the work through.
Her skills include experience in finance administration, office management, IT operations, web-site design & development, business development, and ERP implementations. She has earned several certifications in leadership, project management, finance administration (incl. Sarbanes-Oxley), Microsoft Certification, Budget & Finance, Apple, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and others. She attended Southeastern University and National Business College.
When she’s not working, Alexandria is actively involved in her community and a true advocate for children. She has been an active PTA member for over 22 years and served in many capacities on the local & state levels earning the National PTA Life Achievement Award in July 2012, and various other awards. She held positions with the Boys & Girls Club and other charitable organizations. In a grass-roots effort, she developed S.T.E.P. U.P. (Students, Teachers, Educators and Parents United for a Purpose), which is now a National model for schools across the country
