The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Makes Commerce Happen
at the Largest Small Business Government Contracting Conference in the Washington Region 

Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Major General Bruce T. Crawford,
and Secretary R. Michael Gill were among the 79 speakers

Rockville, MD – Business leaders looking for a competitive edge on how to win federal, state and local government contracts had a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights and meet directly with key purchasing agents from a variety of federal government agencies, prime contractors, and state and local agencies at the 2015 MCCC GovConNet Procurement Conference on Friday, May 15.

For the twelfth year, Congressman Chris Van Hollen served as honorary chair for the Conference.

“Maryland’s businesses have a tremendous opportunity to grow and create jobs by contracting with the government at every level,” said Congressman Van Hollen. “I’m excited to join the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce to ensure our businesses and entrepreneurs have the information and resources necessary to take full advantage of this opportunity.”

Major General Bruce T. Crawford, Commanding General, U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), and Senior Mission Commander, APG; Secretary R. Michael Gill, Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development; and Georgette “Gigi” Godwin, President & CEO, MCCC; also provided enlightening remarks during the Opening Ceremony.
