Economic Development Corporation

Rockville, MD - The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) represented the business community on June 9 at the Montgomery County Council’s public hearing on Bill 25-15, Economic Development - Reorganization - Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation.

Speaking in support of the proposed Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation, MCCC stressed the importance of strengthening and sustaining a vibrant local economy and offered suggested amendments that would strengthen the County’s effort.

“We share the same value of a vibrant, sustainable, growing and balanced economy. We need to attract and retain business in order for Montgomery County to remain relevant and competitive in the global marketplace,” said Gigi Godwin, MCCC President and CEO.
