Clark Construction Group Receives MCCC Corporate Social Responsibility Award

ROCKVILLE, MDThe Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) honors Clark Construction Group, LLC with The Corporate Social Responsibility Award at its annual Business Awards Dinner on Thursday, November 20, 2014.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Award is presented to an individual or company that has demonstrated exemplary business practices, dedicated involvement and unyielding commitment to community service and volunteer programs to enrich the lives of residents of Montgomery County.

"As a longstanding citizen of greater Washington, DC, it is our obligation, and privilege, to give back to the community that has been so vital to our success over the years," said Susan Williamson Ross, Clark's Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer.

Bethesda based Clark Construction is one of the nation’s largest general building and civil construction companies. Giving back to the community in dollar and deed has long been a part of Clark's corporate culture.

This dedication to philanthropy has led to longstanding relationships with several local organizations, including Team River Runner, the Walter Reed Warrior and Family Center, Bread for the City, Children's Inn at NIH, Montgomery College, Urban Alliance, DC Central Kitchen, Samaritan Inn, So Others Might Eat, and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Employees participate in a variety of activities across different organizations, utilizing their time and talents to provide needed services to the community. For more information on their commitment to the community, visit www.clarkconstruction.com/about.

“We are proud to recognize Clark Construction’s generous contributions to our community,” said Gigi Godwin, President & CEO, MCCC. “Their dedication to philanthropic involvement in our community has played a significant role in making Montgomery County a better place.”
