2013 Event Recap:
This GovConNet Procurement Conference took place on Friday, May 17, 2013.
In 2013, everyone gained new insights and made valuable connections. We hit major milestone in 2013 with reaching over 800+ registrants, 61 speakers, including Congressman Chris Van Hollen, 85 Exhibitors, and 22 Breakout Sessions on three tracks. In addition, 117 companies were selected for 10-minute matchmaking sessions with the 21 participating Federal Agencies, State and Local Departments and Prime Contractors, which is the highest number of matchmaking sessions in our GovConNet Procurement Conference’s 10 year history! Our new program, “Ask the Business Doctor,” which allowed attendees the opportunity to receive speed mentoring from 8 experts from various backgrounds, was also well received. The response from the attendees has been overwhelming positive.
This was also the first year that we created our own Twitter hashtag for the Conference in order for attendees to stay in the loop and interact with one another before, during and after the event. The Twitter hashtag for 2014 is #GovConNet2014.

The GovConNet Procurement Conference attracts businesses ready to do business with federal, state & local governments, prime contractors and each other. The Conference took place Friday, May 17, 2013 from 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM at the Universities at Shady Grove. The event features Breakout sessions, "Ask the Business Doctor", Matchmaking and an Expo.
