About VIP Grow

VIP is a 3-day, 27-hour comprehensive certification program for veteran businesses to increase their ability to win government contracts by establishing best business practices. An initiative of the Montgomery County Chamber Community Foundation (MCCCF), VIP is designed by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce GovConNet program.

Since the program launched in 2009, 638 veteran-owned businesses have graduated from VIP Grow. Click here for a recap of the June 2016 VIP Session!

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to participate in VIP Grow, applicants must be

  1. Be an owner, principal or C-level executive for a Veteran-owned business;
  2. Have been in business for at least 2 years, with a minimum of (3) three full time employees;
  3. The company has experience working on Federal government contracts as a prime and/or sub-contractor to a prime; and
  4. Be a small business.

VIP Grow Graduate Statistics

  • On average, VIP GROW graduates are later stage companies in business for 7 years with 17 employees
  • 80% are service-disabled veteran-owned
  • 38% are small-disadvantaged 8(a)
  • 52% are minority-owned
  • 15% are woman-owned
  • 10% are HUBZone

Attendance requirement

Attendance is required to graduate from a session. If a participant misses more than one class, their enrollment in the session will be terminated.

Cancellation policy

Upon acceptance into the VIP Program participants must provide a credit card to secure their spot. VIP participants will not be charged for services outlined above. The credit card will only be used if the VIP participant cancels their participation in the program after the date that is noted in their acceptance email. Cancelations must be received in writing to bashe@mcccmd.com. Charges are $500 for day package participants and $1000 for overnight participants.


The unauthorized use of audio or video equipment is not permitted at any VIP session.
