Recap of the March 1, 2012 GovConNet Committee Meeting 

Rich Wilkinson of Watkins Meegan presented on the topic of Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). Mr. Wilkinson was able to give background on the program and the issues surrounding the sampling of vouchers for review by DCAA. Rich was able to address the impact that there will be for government contractors. 

Rich serves as the Director of Government Contracts & High Technology Practice at Watkins Meegan.  He spent more than 8 years as a Contracting Officer with the Naval Air Systems Command and then 10 years in the controllership of GovCon firms from ManTech to General Physics to CSC. In those 10 years, he implemented Deltek accounting systems in 12 different GovCon business units and managed both financial operations and Government contract compliance functions.

After more than 15 years in a number of different roles at Deltek, including 2 years managing and editing Deltek’s ground-breaking CLARITY GovCon studies, Rich has joined Watkins Meegan as a Director in the GovCon & High Technology Practice.

He continues to be a regular lecturer on Government contract compliance and accounting at George Mason University and an active author for Watkins Meegan’s GovCon newsletter.
