Vice-Chair Gus Bauman welcomed the committee and introduced Mark Winston, Chair of the Montgomery County Transit Task Force.

Committee Vice-Chair Gus Bauman took attendance and welcomed the committee. He introduced Planning Board Member Amy Presley.

Ms. Presley started the discussion by saying that she was looking forward to gathering feedback from the committee on processes that needed to be changed or rethought. She discussed how the planning board often reviews many plans, but rarely is change effected.

Building a Purple Line for the Metro system and a Corridor Cities Transitway, connecting Shady Grove to Clarksburg, are among Montgomery County’s top priorities for state transportation projects, as identified by the County Executive and County Council. County Council Deputy Staff Director Glenn Orlin, a longtime transportation expert in Montgomery County, discussed these and other priorities at the March 8 meeting of the MCCC Infrastructure and Land Use Committee, headed by MCCC Vice-Chair Gus Bauman of Beveridge and Diamond.
