Tips and Strategies for Winning Proposals

When competing to win a contract, focus less on your company's background and more on how you are going to solve your customer's problem or address their need. That's one example from the array of successful "Strategies for Winning Proposals" that Molly Gimmel, Executive Vice President of Design to Delivery, Inc., shared in a presentation to the MCCC Small Business Committee on Nov. 17. Gimmel emphasized the importance of doing market research and urged her audience to: "Be customer-focused, compliant, and complete," in responding to a request for proposals. Gimmel, whose firm specializes in helping businesses to navigate the government procurement process, is a member of the Chamber's GovConNet Council.
