Recap: Golf Tournament Fundraiser for Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP)

Rockville, MD – The Montgomery County Chamber Community Foundation (MCCCF) hosted a successful fundraising golf tournament to support the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP) program July 15 at Lakewood Country Club in Rockville, MD.

Barbara Ashe, President of the Foundation, thanked event sponsors, committee members, and participants for their generous support of VIP. The Tournament is essential to the success of the VIP program. The 3-day comprehensive certification program is offered to participants at no cost and is funded entirely by the MCCCF and private donations. VIP Sponsors included: Signature Sponsor, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Stars & Stripes Sponsor, Aronson LLC, Gift Sponsor HUGHES an EchoStar Company, and Patriot Sponsors, GlobalNet Services, Inc., C2 Essentials, Inc., PilieroMazza PLLC, and Watkins Meegan LLC.

120 golfers enjoyed a day of golf and networking in support of VIP.  Foursomes included Washington Redskin legends Mike Bragg, Kenny Jenkins, Ted Vactor, and Roy Jefferson.  Two raffle winners received a Redskins football autographed by these special guests.

After a full day on the Rees Jones designed golf course, golfers enjoyed cocktails, dinner, networking, and congratulated the raffle, contest and tournament winners. Two raffle winners received an autographed football signed by the Washington Redskins legends who participated in the golf tournament.
